I wanted to ride before the
sun came up. I got up at 7:00AM just after the sun started rising, running
around organizing my gear, which I could not do the night before because I did
not want my brother to suspect I was riding somewhere, besides he wouldn’t have
wanted to ride that earlier. Arrived at the start of the trail, some unknown
miles, the trail had some erosion control work done to it and a new
part of the trail has a dip to it now. Got to Vernonia Lake, it has a new
dock now. Thought about eating a hotdog but the nitrates are not good for you.
I had a larabar instead; the banana bread flavor was bitter. It is getting late
now time to go home. On the way back a little girl almost ran into me, her mom
was getting on her case about it big time. Arrived at the banks trailhead,
filled up my water bottle and headed home. 71.13 Miles
