We wanted
to ride the Tualatin Valley Scenic bikeway for a while. Before we left the house I used the computer to check Google maps for a route to Rood Bridge road, the Park is there for the start. We left the house and headed to Tualatin Valley Highway and turned down River Road. my Google search earlier
said to turn down SE Thrush Ave
, I found the turn with no problems then I didn't know where to turn after that, it looks different on Google maps, maybe I should have used street view. After a runaround, we eventually found the park. Now t
he roads were nice for a while then I saw frost on the
ground, I don't like anything that looks like I might fall down on it. My brother was out in front pretty far and I had the cue sheet
, he didn't stop and ask for the next turn, so he must have went down Rood Bridge Rd for about a mile and a half past the turn! I could not see him that far so I took my little Vivitar monocular
out and saw him riding back. We stopped on Johnson School Rd
to get a picture of some silos, typical of farms.
I also found this, a chimney that said warning fallout shelter, i wonder if its real, kinda of going toward fake because of the placement of the trees around it, the roots would probably mess it up some how.
We stopped to a picture of the barns and also got mount hood as a backdrop.
This picture I took a little ways down the road from where the barns are.
I saw two other mountains but I didn't know their names. While I was taking the picture some stupid Hispanic
woman was shaking her head at us while she drove by like we are some nuisance, she was from Washington state anyway, probably illegal, for a while Washington was giving out licenses like ice cream.
Some of the
scenic bikeway has some pretty busy roads like Tongue Ln, what a odd choice
for a bike friendly road. My brothers chain was squeaking so I thought lets just
cut the ride short because I'm not having a good time anyway.
